Clapton FC gained revenge for a league cup defeat in midweek as they returned to Leslie Field to bag the league points.

Tons had lost 3-2 on Tuesday, but were gifted an own goal and saw Abdeen Abdul also get on the scoresheet to ensure a happier trip back to east London this time.

Clapton were due to visit Bowers in the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy on Tuesday, but that could be in doubt due to their rivals needing an FA Vase replay against Ipswich Wanderers.
