Clapton maintained their good start to the season with a thumping win at Gardiners Close.

Fahad Nyanja struck with only six minutes gone to put Tons ahead, but the home side were back on terms on the half-hour mark thanks to Alfie Hilton’s strike.

Nyanja restored Clapton’s lead in the second period, though, and they gave themselves some breathing space when Warren Mfula netted a third.

Billy Wise put the icing on the cake with a late fourth for Tons, who are set to visit Stanway Rovers in the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday.
