Footballers' Insurance

17 Feb 2016, 14:34

Interesting article in The Guardian today about amateur football insurance. Basically says that all footballers have to be insured in all leagues but that often this amounts to very little as the payouts are so small.

There are three levels of policy (Paid for by the clubs) but most clubs seem to have opted for the cheapest (and most basic) which doesn't really provide the players with all that much cover.

I wouldn't mind guessing that this is the case at Clapton but does anyone know?

If it is, I think we should lobby Vince to ensure that the team get the top level of cover (from next season at least) and/or fund raise ourselves to make sure this happens.
