The Clapton Ultras support for restoring the historic Old Spotted Dog pub
We want more and more local people at come along and join us and for the club to once again become a genuine centre of the local neighbourhood.
To make this possible, we have made many new friends through our local activities, which have included distributing information locally on people’s immigration rights and organising regular food bank collections for the Refugee & Migrant Project (RAMP), supporting asylum seeker and refugee families with no income.
We have worked with Forest Gate residents to clear fly-tipping from the grounds of the Old Spotted Dog public house, raised funds for Newham Action on Domestic Violence and helped to launch a successful appeal for funds for ‘Paris’, Newham’s only LGBTQ youth group.
In June 2015, we organised a ‘Proudly East Londony’ football tournament in Mile End and in July, we took our message about the unique atmosphere created by the Clapton Ultras to the Forest Gate Festival.
